IPL 2022 Bidding Team: BCCI is doing document verification, the big announcement may be made soon!

The IPL team bidding 2022 process for the new teams has started today at 11 am in Dubai. More than 20 interested parties have applied for the tender. Around 10 parties took part in the auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team at Taj Dubai. The new IPL franchises in one of six cities may be- Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Cuttack, Dharamsala, Guwahati, and Indore.

This is good news for betting lover as well. Now they have chance to place cricket betting on two more teams.

  • 10 bids have been submitted.
  • The legal and financial team of BCCI is now scrutinizing the paperwork and other essentials.
  • BCCI will first scrutinize all 10 bids for technical merit / ask ineligible bidders to leave the room
  • The financial bids will be opened in public for all the eligible bidders.
  • The winner of the bids may be announced either today or may even be postponed until tomorrow.

A top BCCI official in Dubai, who admitted that the entire bidding process would be difficult on Monday.

A senior BCCI official in Dubai said, “Look, we have to go through the process, and only then can it be decided when the teams can be announced. There is interest from many companies and individuals to buy the team and this will take time to complete. I can’t say for sure that we can announce two new teams on Monday. We have to complete the process and only then there will be clarity, the process will start at 11 am on Monday.”

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season, the two new teams will be added. That is, a total of 10 teams will be in the tournament. Owners of big football clubs like Manchester United and former Formula 1 owners are included to buy these teams. This will make IPL betting more interesting and exciting.

While Shilpa Shetty is the owner of Rajasthan Royals and Preity Zinta is the owner of Punjab Kings.

At the same time, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are also not joining the game for the first time. Deepika was ormer national level badminton player shared court with two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and his father Prakash Padukone is also a former national badminton player.  While her husband Ranveer Singh is currently associated with the football league English Premier League. He is also the brand ambassador of the popular basketball league NBA.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had first fixed August 31 as the last date for submission of applications for the tender. This was extended to 10 October.
