After 2 years of a long wait, finally, our favorite Asia Cup is going to start in less than a month. The 15th edition of the Asia Cup is scheduled to start from 27 August 2022 to 11 September 2022. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the Asia cup 2022 schedule.
With two thrilling games of India vs Pakistan in the group stage, this tournament is going to be even more exciting for the fans. The last season of the Asia Cup was played in UAE where India emerged victorious. This season also, the Indian Cricket Team led by Rohit Sharma is the favorite to win the Asia Cup trophy.
Asia Cup 2022 Venue
UAE is selected as the final Asia Cup Venue. This season was about to be held in Sri Lanka but due to the current situation in the state, the Asian Cup Cricket Council (ACC) decided to shift the Asia Cup venue to UAE. All the matches including the semi-finals and final will be played on UAE grounds.

- Sharjah Cricket Ground
The Sharjah Cricket Ground is known for its t20 and ODI games. This flat pitch is best for batters, with extra bounce it becomes easier for them to play big shots. Spinners also get assistance from pitches.
- Sheikh Zayed Cricket stadium
Sheikh Zayed is located in Abu Dhabi, it was one of the dedicated venues for the ICC world cup. The pitches here are completely balanced that provide adequate help to the batters and the bowlers.
- Dubai International Stadium
Formerly known as Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium, the Dubai International Stadium is like an adopted home ground for the Pakistan National Team. The pitch here is a bit unusual as it is a bit rough with wide cracks at some parts helping the spin bowlers whilst it also has small patches of green grass in other parts to assist the pacers. Batters find it quite difficult to face the first few overs in Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
ASIA CUP 2022 Format
The Asia Cup 2022 will be played in the T20 format. Out of 6, four teams will qualify for playing in the super 4. The top 2 teams in the Super 4 will face each other in the ASIA CUP 2022 final to win the 15th edition of the Asia Cup.
