The Asia Cup cricket tournament is played between teams from the Asian region competing against each other in the One Day International (ODI) format as well as the T20 Format. It is one of the major cricket tournaments in Asia.
The teams participating in the Asia Cup 2023 are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh and the tournament will be played in the ODI format.
Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka has been the best batsman in the ODI format of the Asia Cup tournament. The all-rounder played his first Asia Cup tournament in 1990 and continued to play till 2008, racking up the most runs in the 18 years.
The Indian batsman Virat Kohli has scored the most runs in the Asia Cup in the T20 format. He finished with 429 runs in 10 matches at an average of 85.80, with his highest score of 122* made against Afghanistan in 202.
